Owners Phil Rooks and Alison Harrison

Brooklands Motor Vehicle Engineers Ltd. is an independent garage based on the Newport Pagnell Road in Wootton, Northampton.

The garage was founded by one of its current directors, Philip Rooks, in 1997. Phil had a vision of running a garage that provided its customers with an honest and clear service by expert mechanics who could cater for all motoring needs.

Around the turn of the century Philip was joined by his sister, Alison Harrison, who took on the admin side of the garage ensuring that things ran smoothly and that customers were satisfied with the service they received.

Over the years that have passed the garage has gone from strength to strength, becoming a limited company, employing three mechanics and two admin staff, and expanding into adjacent units to become one of the largest businesses of the trading estate on which it is based.

But despite all the growth, Brooklands is still a family business (three of its six staff are family members) and still holds the same values as it did when it was first founded over 10 years ago.

Brooklands is constantly investing in new mechanical technologies and diagnostics equipment, as well as investing in its staff through training. This allows the garage to stay on top of its competitors by offering a wide range of motor vehicle services and a knowledge and skill base that is always kept updated.
